I know it won't happen because of course it won't, but in general I feel as though the world would be better if corporations were more unhinged when it comes to design. Un-deprecate <marquee>, use images with non-transparent backgrounds, really just go for it.



You bet! I'd actually take time to open our inane corporate newsletters if they included something actually worth looking at instead of bland images of well dressed humans laughing at laptops. It seems we've entered a perennial age of bland safety, from inoffensive language to soft bland visual design to my fucking car beeping at me when I dare open the door before shutting off the engine.


Along those lines, I wish the 1990s web designs with bold web-safe colors, like HotWired, would make a comeback.
