I created a little game for my daughter when she was 3. She would press a button and it would show a random picture. If the picture was her, it played a little song and said You Win.
November 2022 was the 3rd election in a row (2018, 2020 & 2022) that the MAGA "movement" failed at Arizona's ballot boxes. The article goes on to mention that Republican candidates have been getting more and more irrational/crazy/authoritarian and that Arizona voters want some normal Republicans like John McCain (who served as a Senator, representing Arizona, for 31 years, also was the Republican candidate for President in 2008).
The first few paragraphs seem like a reasonable summary:
"The historically good results for Arizona Democrats at the polls this month are the third cycle in a row that MAGA has faltered at the ballot box, and political observers say it should be a clarion call to Republicans that Trumpism is a loser in the Grand Canyon State.
But operatives in both parties say that will be easier said than done, as Donald Trump’s grip on the Republican Party electorate remains strong.
“Conservatism wins in Arizona. Crazy does not,” said Chris Baker, a Republican political consultant who works on congressional and legislative races in Arizona and across the country. “The Republican Party in Arizona is at a crossroads right now. Is this the direction we want to continue in?”"
Of course those permits are only for drilling new wells. Existing wells have already dewatered nearby farms. New remedial action is needed to reverse the continuing damage.
Following on to your comment, is this, "TikTok’s algorithm is designed to learn what type of content users like", what almost all social media does to a certain extent?
at this point yes, TikTok's has been better at it and others have been playing catch up trying to replicate it and its interface. For example, Instagram's Reels are like TikTok's, except Instagram's users are split doing a dozen other things, while TikTok's users are only doing the "reels" like feature and associate TikTok with that.
The one non-compete clause that I signed was very permissive. There was a short list of companies I could not sign with for a year. I felt it was pretty fair to be honest. Otherwise, I do not sign them.
My daughter went from 18 months through 8th grade and my wife runs the school so, as you may guess, we are big fans. One thing to look for is the certifications. In the US there are (at least) two main Montessori Certification groups, AMI & AMS. The school my wife runs is AMI but I think AMS would be just as good.
What is slightly different than other experiences here is that the school is a Charter school which poses some challenges but does offer Montessori beyond the normal tuition based model.
As for my daughter, her transition has been fairly smooth. The high school she goes to has more than 10x the students as her old school so is much larger. On the other hand, her grades are good, and she is involved in a number of clubs too.
Montessori is not for everyone but I definitely recommend checking it out.
Isn't it kind of the entire point of raising the interest rate? How could they say nobody saw this coming. The people in charge of fiscal policy literally said "we are going to do this"
I can't think of a single person that i'm aware of that enjoys adobe products. Every single person that i've had the chance to talk to about it says they're basically a monopoly because the competition is so far behind.
On second thought maybe Taran the guy who used to be an editor for LTT, he seemed like he actually enjoyed Premiere.
Designers hate Adobe. This acquisition caused a huge collective meltdown on Twitter, and people are saying Figma is dead now. Many people were hoping Figma would kill Adobe.
