Similarly, my dad was a luthier for 15 years before passing away to cancer in 2022. In the 5th grade, I wanted to learn guitar, so being the engineer he was, he built one. But needed machines first, and wood, and the garage.

Being an engineer instead of a business-minded operator prevented his work from becoming too well known but the instrument and what he accomplished was special.

I know own the shop, guitars, and everything after his passing - a couple years ago I made a reddit thread asking for help - it blew up and is an interesting read - https://www.reddit.com/r/guitars/comments/1f07f1s/my_dad_lef...

I like to take pictures of products and build websites, unfortunately we just ran out of time.

Is the business still operating?

No, there are no employees left but I still maintain the workspace until we find a buyer for the operation

I am going to make really sure that my heirs are going to be left with a simple financial arrangement, thank you for the implicit reminder to do so. Your dad was awesome, I looked at that video 3 times and there is so much love poured into that workshop that it makes me wish I knew someone worthy of carrying that torch for another generation. I can identify just about every station and see how smart and cost efficient he had it all set up. Have you thought about reaching out to the Luthier guild?

Way cool! Also, La Crosse! I have family there. I’ll stop by one of these days.

I still reserve a couple every month. I live 2 blocks away

I was referring to the fact that in Cheongdam many of the company man restaurants and clubs have a pecking order. Chey Tae-won now gets a better table? I wonder. :)

We've built a white-labeled version of our resume software to tackle specific keywords, communities, and now general organisations

This would be an exact example

It seems so risk adverse right? I couldnt imagine telling my team to explore a new way to design as a result of the coming IPO

what are the keywords to use to search for ai resume spam tools?

Unironically, "ai resume spam tools" seems to work well enough.

Even more unironically, if you run the search through Google, you'll get a nice AI summary at the top as well.

O tempora, o mores.

me too

Zuckerberg said something along the lines of if he would have sold facebook, he would have gone on to build another facebook Is that how you feel? Ive spent the past 10 years building my company, I dont feel like another venture could compare (for now)

I wouldn't, at least not in its current incarnation. I started mine in 2008, after a 2007 Supreme Court decision. For cpg brands, we built a SaaS for e-commerce dealer base compliance and management.

Ultimately, because competition eventually grew like crazy, I don't think the market timing is worthy of trying to rebuild it at this point. Maybe some analog for AI instead of e-commerce.

Oddly, after looking at your profile, it looks like I've been building the last few years in the same space as you. But product market fit has been elusive.

wanna join Rezi? we dont have a marketing team but get 4K signups a day

Friendly heads up that some thumbnail in your landing page are not loading. Specifically the ones that link to the sample resumes for a given title. The one for CTO and the one for compliance coordinator failed to load.

thanks for this kind offer, but i'm working on something else.

Physics, no doubt.

Are you hiring engineers? I would love to join.

Only me and a couple of my employees use it so far - https://www.rezi.ai/community/browse
