In a similar vein, the ultrapatriotic type that loved the USA being #1, having influence everywhere, also seem to be cheering on the dismantling of the soft (and some hard) power structures. But I get the feeling there's some granularity we are both missing, and the group saying those things then and these things now (pro/anti Trump reactionaries), isn't as big as we think.

The simple answer is that one group's ideological allies grabbed control of the Empire and now they don't want to give it up.

I am completely against killing people without due process, as he did, and bragged about. But it does seem that most people in the Philippines were happy with his policies, and his policies do appear to be "effective" wrt murder, though are extrajudicial killings by police any better? I don't think so

Not to totally dismiss that Duterte was popular, because he had the same kind of fanatical support Trump does, but from the PUBLiCUS Asia site they are "Philippines’ first & only registered Lobbying & Campaigns Management firm.".

Also note that his term was 2016-2022 and from 2017-2019 the Philippines was under martial law[1] and 2020-2022 (Covid time) everyone was on another mandatory lockdown[2]. In addition to this, crime was already dropping before his term, and his statistics are dubious[3]

If they had just worn out, that's fine, but they weren't at all. I only use them maybe 5-10 times per year, so the sole still had tons of life in it. The problem is that they didn't sew the sole onto the boot upper and the glue they used just lets go after a while.

I don't think that the soles should just fall off your boots one day while you're hiking, so no, I was not completely satisfied and I would like them to glue the soles back on for me.

What are you talking about? You don't need a therapeutic use exemption to use salbutamol at the doesages required to control asthma. It does not improve performance.

Breathing cold air does induce asthma, so it's perfectly plausible that everyone on the Norwegian Olympic team could have exercise induced asthma and not be gaining any advantage from it.

Stop casually mixing genuinely asthmatic athletes using, non-controlled, non-performance enhancing medicines with state sponsored dopers.
