I was really curious to read about this type of heating, then I read your comment. Quickly imagegoogled the term and found that this is the standard in most of north/west Europe.

Here in the Netherlands 1 liter of gasoline was very low a few months ago at about €1,55. Now back up to €1,60 if you do your best or €1,78 on the highways. Portugal is not that bad :)

Google Tulip (aimed at the Netherlands but in English.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsPQvZm_rgM

I use the Sony WH-H900N (h.ear 2) and absolutely love them, since I bought them (and a second set for my wife recently) three different colleagues ordered one after trying mine for < 10 minutes :-)

They cost around €220,-

The UK is the champion at this.

Hoover

Biro

Transit van

Many, many more in the UK:

Cashpoint is probably the winner - I've never heard anyone use anything else. I don't even remember whose trade mark it once was.

Sellotape

Airfix for all model kits

JCB for all diggers

Tarmac

Let's not forget about "Sandwich" :-)

It's even worse. france.com forwards to france.fr at the moment..

there's also the memory-optimization variant of this, from the land of game dev. see "the programming anti-hero": https://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/132500/dirty_coding_t...

most of the other game dev dirty trick on gamasutra are good value -- the "(s)elf-exploitation" one from Jonathan Garrett, Insomniac Games is particularly awfully clever:

Same in the Netherlands, more and more shops are electronic payment only. Cash is a cost and a risk to them.

You must be Danish, I though us Dutch had it bad (320 max) I guess we do go below sea level more which also makes this calculation more difficult :)

I do agree on the utter amazement of visiting less flat places :)

'Podcastaddict' also has google Cast functionality.

One of the few free apps that I've donated to! Quality podcasting app that has been receiving non-trivial updates for years.

Agreed, and I have donated as well. I especially like the advanced sorting options they have added reciently.
