Awesome, thanks for the feedback. Will hack together some updates over the weekend!

It's a learning curve for us. That's why this kind of feedback is important.

As another person stated, on another question, you didn't really answer why the 16 character limit was imposed in the first place. Is it due to some plugin? You don't think people will remember long passwords?

It's because the password field in their database has a length of 16.

Let's hope they store a (salted) hash of the password, not the password itself.

Then I would suggest you to look out to the opposite problem, denial of service via long passwords (assuming that you correctly use a slow key derivation function).

e.g. Django now accept passwords with at most 4096 bytes because attackers used gigantic passwords that took a long time to hash

Will make sure to update!

Drafting a separate post on this so bear with me but you can see the press release I sent here: http://www.codingcupboard.com/press/releases/Coding-Cupboard...

Ok! But that's not an answer :) it's your press release. Looking forward to reading how "CodingCupboard got on TechCrunch" in a week!

Just rushing about at the moment and want to spend the time on a more detailed post that can help more!

Needs someone leading who can code, gets the skills issue and also sees the impact of technology.

Would be more than happy to put myself forward. (@AdamJBall)

- Computer Science grad - Launching a tech startup to help connect businesses and student coders (@CodingCupboard) - Passionate about solving youth unemployment - No political affiliation - All round nice guy

- No political affiliation

Disqualified right there. If you don't care about politics, why should you get appointed to a political office?

I use Asana to keep track of projects and longer term commitments but when it comes to the ONE thing I have to get done and then some sub tasks pen and paper has never failed me. Don't spend too long on this and just focus on getting the work done.

Thanks for the reply. I've heard of HubSpot and read their blog frequently. I've got some experience in inbound marketing but was looking to see see if it would be better to get on the phone calling up leads all day rather than writing blog posts, email marketing etc for Concept Cupboard.

Yeah, we had a refresh in February and got quite a lot of good feedback on it. I think the style that we have on the site it good but the elements and content we showcase needs more looking at.

I think this is one of our main problem areas. I've been A/B testing for the last 6 months but I think this is something that I can drastically improve on.

Thank you for your time.

Thanks for the comments. Totally agree about the video, getting onto the creator to cut that down.

Will make sure to get more case studies onto the home page as currently they are only found via our footer (which no one really looks at).

Did you find you knew how the whole site worked pretty quickly or did you have to delve into more detail in the site?

Thanks,

Adam
