I think he means that Perl 6 doesn't have a living, widely used implementation. The point is that since Perl 6 is relatively less mature, it would be more valid to compare Python 2.* to Perl 5, and Python 3k to Perl 6.



But the difference between Perl 5 and Perl 6 is much more significant than Python 2 and Python 3k.
