The Angular cross-compiling insanity and eventual switch to TypeScript is the likely catalyst. Still, I hope to see a technical discussion of why the VM had to go.

Looking forward to better interop with JS, but can't help feeling a bit sad.




Angular had nothing to do with it. Them switching to TypeScript from AtScript was just de-fragmenting the JS-superset language space, which is a good thing. Hopefully TypeScript goes away when types arrive in JS.


Js will never have types.Ever.It could have had type back in 2007, Microsoft creator of typescript said NO.
