I worked for a Fortune 500 company that still relies heavily on VB6 programs for some of its branches.

Another humungous company (think 10.000 employees) has its core system in VB6 (and it works REALLY WELL).

The company I work for has > 80% of its programs in VB6.

It didn't go anywhere. I'm not sure what the spiritual successor is, though.
