For anyone having this problem, check out MyShoebox. It's exactly what Peter is suggesting, plus it works on Android and Windows as well.

1) Full collection in the cloud with access or upload from any device 2) Unlimited backup... for free! Okay, slight caveat, the free plan is downsized, but for $5 a month it keeps original resolution. 3) A merged camera roll across all devices (including old devices) 4) API coming soon 5) Lots of clever auto-sorting. We search and sort on about 25 filters, and use that data to automatically find interesting sets to surface on the explore page

Unfortunately MyShoebox - even the paid, "Pro" tier - limits photos to 20MB per image. It also only supports JPEG and PNG formats, not RAW. Both of these constraints prevent usage by photographers with modern DSLRs.


I don't think they're going after the photographer market. It's more for regular people who take photos with their iPhone, etc. A ton of people don't shoot RAW.
