With the firmware that implemented security in, third party only speaks through Bambu Connect. Reading the page I included that information and if you go to the original security update announcement, it is clear you can only use Bambu Connect for third party access. In addition you lose the ability to control the printer.



I own an A1. The only way to avoid using Bambu connect on the latest firmware is to enable Developer mode. Developer mode only works in LAN only mode.

So yes, LAN only mode (in conjunction with Developer mode) is the only mode that you can avoid using Bambu connect in.
