I understand that k8s uses containerd or similar daemons to run containers. Do podman's criticisms of docker also apply to k8s?



No. K8s runs containers in a way very similar to Podman. Podman is like a middle point between the simplicity of containerd and the feature set of the Kubernetes Kubelet.
