I remember another one, where an actor is giving a positive reaction to their agent over a script they didn't even skim, let alone read. The implicit message there is that you need an AI assistant to help lie to people, fake your work output, and generate deliberate bullshit instead of due-diligence.

I keep imagining a satirical extension of this trend, where the LLM product is pitched as helping absentee parents falsify sincere congratulations to their emotionally-neglected child for their role in a school play the parent never attended or saw.

As time goes on, I fear it will stop being satire.


we told our kid to write their grandfather a thank you note for a gift and wow, they emailed him this amazing letter. My dad was really touched. But yeah we later found out it was 100% written by an LLM.


people used to be like "eh, indoor toilets are just a fancy way to do what outhouses already do."

AI right now is kind of like electricity back in the 1890s. Back then, people were busy pointing out all the stuff electricity couldn't do.
