It feels awkward posting this on HN since I'm sure everyone here is quite capable of solving the problem of counting the number of words in text. It's only been a feature of most text editors & word processors for the past 30 years.
In any case, I thought it might still be convenient for some. Especially since most IDEs or web-based editors (eg. Wordpress) generally don't make getting a word count so easy.
I'm keen to extend this in the future to include a bunch of statistics about text put into it (eg. word frequencies and such), so I would love to hear any feedback or feature requests.
