I was half thinking of setting up colo in Hawaii specifically to cause people to have to make work-covered travel plans to there to "fix things". The official justification would be to be under US law and have lower latency access to Asia (although I think Seattle to North Asia is about the same as HNL to North Asia, and certainly cheaper/better bandwidth).

The problem is power is even more expensive there than in SF.
