Is it good? I really liked Wittgenstein's Vienna, but I haven’t read anything else about the era so I don’t have much basis of comparison. Tempted to work on my German so I can understand Karl Kraus though.
Good, but it is long. I have read it only in English, though I do have it in German, purchased for about $5 at a charity shop.
As for Kraus, somebody put out In These Great Times, a slim collection of essays, about 35 years ago. Much more recently, Jonathan Franzen brought out The Kraus Project, which I have not seen.
