The Venn diagram of "discussions about LLMs" and "Idea Guys Talking" is close to a circle in my experience.




I find myself using it for quick math type problems, for example just now I wanted to wrangle some bits so I asked it to make the masks for me.

But even then we're talking 1% if we're being really generous.

Why do you think it will get that right? You have to do the work anyway to verify those are correct, that is exactly the kind of thing you shouldn't use an LLM for.

Most likely relative productivity, i.e. time to develop things with support of AI Vs time to develop the same things without support of AI.


Which will potentially miss things like accruing technical debt and security issues.


which happens with and without AI to the extent of effort and state of brains of the junior dev
