I put this at the end of my ~/.profile:

    REALSHELLS="/usr/local/bin/zsh /usr/bin/zsh"
    for REALSHELL in $REALSHELLS; do
    	if [ -e $REALSHELL ]; then

    			echo "$REALSHELL exit $?"
    		fi

    	fi
    done
    echo "No shells in [$REALSHELLS] found, falling back to $SHELL"
