At the beginning of learning to code in 2017 I was living in the Caribbean. I had to get Xcode command line tools installed, <1gb of download. Something trivial to get done in the US. It took me several days of hunting down an internet connection that was fast and stable enough to handle it since most internet in the country was cell based. The solution was a friendly computer repair shop with a decent hardwired connection that let me leave the computer for a few hours to download.
