Thanks for sharing this! It's fun to see the intersection (pun intended) of geospatial and XR. I guess I can see the logic in Apple insisting on calling it Spatial Computing as that name covers geospatial information systems as well as VR/AR cases.

For those interested in a no-code solution, I was able to do something similar in Figma with help of some plugins:

1. Use Mapcrate plugin to pull in OSM layers as vector layers: https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1251030017228239072/v...

2. Extrude polygon layers using Fig3d: https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/946020080871644950/fi...

> I'm also looking into some problems when it comes to adding sidewalks/walkways. In some cases, relations are made of many different tiny ways, that are then stitched together to form the outline of an area. My geometry component doesn't like that very much.

I've been out of the scene a long time, but the above reminds me of similar problems we faced in geospatial circles 10-20 years ago, manipulating data and topology to work with visualisation. Large complex common areas like roadways and footpaths were indeed an annoyance then, too.

Which is a preface to my wondering how the issue will be approached here.
