The FreeBSD 13.3-RC1 announcement is at https://lists.freebsd.org/archives/freebsd-stable/2024-Febru... but I'd like to get people to test a couple specific things, hence the blog post. Hopefully dang is ok with this and won't change the link to the "original source".

Cool that the 13 chain is still receiving major versions. I tried upgrading to 14 and ran into an issue (probably my fault) so I reverted via my ZFS snapshot. Cool to see this is being done while I plan for another attempt at some point.

FreeBSD is so great <3

I expect we'll get to at least 13.4 and quite possibly 13.5 or 13.6 -- some people have asked for more frequent minor releases, which inherently means having more of them.

Nice, thanks for your work!! It's highly appreciated. I really love FreeBSD as a desktop system, niche as it is for this use.

I particularly enjoy having rolling packages but a stable OS. This combination is ideal. And having ZFS as first class citizen, the ports collection, jails, the excellent documentation and the helpful community.
