In such rare case, it would download the required version. Having two separate Electron versions is still better than having ten in total, for each app separately.
I see Electron has a point release approximately every two weeks.
Factor in, let's say (conservatively), 5 Electron based applications on a given system.
I posit everyone of those will depend on a different Electron version.
