Social Media Myths About Upcoming US Instant Payment System FedNow (moderntreasury.com)

Can someone please explain the use cases FedNow might be better for than crypto?

Unlike crypto, you don't need to on ramp/off ramp to send money around or worry about shifting rates for the duration of the transaction. It's basically direct bank account to bank account payments with no one else holding onto the money in the middle. You'll avoid the large crypto fees as well.

Cryptocurrency won't be affected much, other than where people were using it as a means to instantly pay someone faster than the usual systems.

The use cases itself are similar to what you'd normally use ACH or credit cards for: think rent, restaurants, online shopping, utilities, payroll, splitting money with friends, quickly paying vendor and other similar venues where instant payments help.

wow this is so cool! thanks for sharing
