I recently bumped into a job posting for a Product Engineer role [1]

This is the first time I hear about this role.

I am curious to hear from people with real-world experience with this kind of role.

Does it address the recurring issue of PMs and engineers not always getting along very well? or engineers feeling too remote from the customer?
