This is about users who started paying the subscription years ago, continued paying the subscription through the present day, but some time between then stopped updating one of the apps because the update would remove a feature. But that version of the app used a third party module that Adobe no longer pays for, so Adobe doesn’t have the right to let the users use it anymore, so Adobe is demanding they stop using the version that includes the module.
