The author seems to be of the opinion that AI should not be given to the general public and be kept in some sort of walled garden with tightly controlled supervised access.

I can't help but wonder how much time he thinks can realistically be bought with these type of restrictions .. and also wonder if he's changed his mind at all since this was written.
