Self driving cars might have set destinations that are cheaper to visit, or have free rides that are ad-supported, or recommend stops along your route.

I think you mean set destinations based on an auction of what business paid most for your visit, based on your demographics & ride history.

most (all?) self driving companies are electric. Cruise, Waymo, Tesla


And how is that electricity generated in most of the US/world?


And how those cars were built? Electric cars generate more tons of CO2 to make than conventional combustion ones. But it's expected to pay off as long as the electricity is generated cleanly.
