Ask HN: Are you surprised that Twitter is just fine despite layoffs?

It's not really fine. Since the admins are asleep at the wheel now, people are pushing the envelope with it (like uploading entire copyrighted works as one long thread). As well as unsavory content staying on the platform and not even being reported or taken down. (That's if the reporting feature even works, in my case it just hangs!).

Alongside this, there are numerable glitches in the app like for example basic functionality like following someone was entirely broken. Then there are issues with their CDN. Videos & Images not loading even when my connection is fine. It needs a lot of work.


What metric do we use to define if it is 'just fine'?
