Honestly, I just gave up after I bought my last computer, installed POP OS and installed Steam and have so far been able to play all my games without a single issue, except The Witcher 3 which only required a configuration change and I was golden. I will use Windows only on work machines but on personal machines its Linux for me from now on.
So far Anno 1800 has an issue where multiplayer games only connect if I play on Windows (but single player runs flawlessly in Linux Mint.) Every other game I've played has been great. StarCraft II (in Bottles), Conan, Valheim, Northgard (so far.)
PC gaming on Linux is not perfect, but it's really damn good.
I was a little afraid when I opened up Legion TD 2 if the multiplayer would work or not, but sure enough it did, no issues! I was genuinely surprised to be proven wrong on my worries.
I use an Intel Arc A380 and on Linux it was using DXVK from day one, and therefore the performance issues Winders folks had weren’t a problem for me at all. It did get seriously better with kernel 6.2 recently though.
