The modern (2020+) Apple laptop keyboards are excellent for the profile.

Though nothing will compare to thicker keyboards, like the 2010's era thinkpads and elitebooks.

My favorite keyboards were definitely the 2012-early 2015 on the Macs. The fastest I've ever been able to type on a keyboard.

The best of all time IMO were the old G4 silver Powerbook keyboards. The response felt great (both tactile and cushioned?), and the scalloped keys felt great to the fingers.

That keyboard was probably too thick for the modern era though.

The keyboard, because of its low key travel and proneness to breaking.
