Should we use flutter or React Native?

We are a team of 2 founders. Our app can be compared to instagram in terms of complexity, with images, social components and infinite scrolling.

We are very undecided between using something like Flutter or RN. Flutter would be our preferred choice although we can't find many big app made all in flutter and the ones that are (Hamilton) are laggy.

Developing in native would not be optimal from a business perspective, given the market we would access by also having Android, and as a team of 2 it's hard to code for both platforms natively.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I think it's worth considering Flutter as a serious contender nowadays. There are some more details here from a Flutter perspective - https://foresightmobile.com/blog/why-consider-flutter-for-yo....

If you've got lots of solid React / JS experience in-house then you might have more luck with React Native (with Expo). Given a level playing field I'd be tempted to go the Flutter route really, especially if you want a more engaging UI.

React native is by far better choice than flutter, we are creating apps in both these tech and also in native and my suggestion is Native > React native > Flutter. So when you've Cross platform option only, go with react native.

Just tried the mcdonald app also in flutter, they reward page is so laggy while scrolling.

I would say RN, more community support if you're using it for business.
