The Oldschool PC Font Pack (v2.2) (int10h.org)

Some time ago I switched to "PxPlus IBM VGA 8x16" for all my coding and editing. https://int10h.org/oldschool-pc-fonts/fontlist/font?ibm_vga_...

It's such a great font. Easy to read, attractive, nostalgic, and the thick letters reduce eye strain. I don't see myself switching away any time soon.

I made it the font on my webpage too. https://superjamie.github.io/2022/08/06/ncursesw if you'd like to see it in action.

If you try it, make sure you set it to 12pt/16px or a multiple of those.

Tip: Click on a number in the "Text Mode Format" box in the top-right to display the page in a different font.

It's so crazy what happens in my brain when I see some of these. They trigger a sense memory and suddenly I'm flashing back to a high school computer programming competition.

Bummed these don't seem to have the powerline symbols.

But <3 anyway.

You can patch them in yourself, it's pretty easy with just a CLI command: https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts#font-patcher

My personal choice for Visual Studio is ToshibaSat 8x14

Perfect for playing Zork!!

Your page is a work of art. Congratulations.
