I heavily doubt the "intelligence community" cares much about children and instead far more about espionage and surveillance. An audit of their usefulness would probably be adequate and how much damage they already caused to general trust. We are talking about people with far more criminal energy than the average citizen, they are certainly not capable to responsibly hold data.

Institutions that really care about children could use some funding. An audit of the intelligence community could perhaps free up some budget.

I think many people have that question on their mind already. But for 2 decades and more the same attempts to undermine privacy need to be repelled. And then government pretends it would be a vehicle to curb the power of big tech. Laughable.
