New app from UK's MI5 to help spot online spies (bbc.co.uk)

This is actually pretty neat. I know many will be skeptical and rightly so, am a big fan of GCHQ's cyberchef and it's great they release stuff like this. Think this could be a decent tool for people in certain situations. The caveat of course being that I doubt it will protect you from 5EYES spies and I'd be interested what sort of network calls it is making. For the average exec always pestering sysadmins though, probably a boon.

> The app also includes an inbuilt reverse image search to spot pictures which may be re-used from other sites, since this is often a hallmark of fake identities.

Perhaps should also try determine if it's an neural net generated face. I've come across a few of these and they look legit but aren't tied to actual identities so are harder to pin down as frauds.
