Ukraine wants to belong to EU and NATO and it does not wnat to fall under Russian influence.
Before you continue: but Azov, let me explain something to you. It was created by Russian speaking Andriy Biletsky and backed financially Jewish Igor Kolomoisky. Large amount of its fighters speak Russian as mother tongue, there are orthodox Jew fighting in the battalion. What joins them is fight against Russia because this is where real Nazism comes today.
Nazi means by Russian definition simply somebody who is not a Russian and does not want to become a Russian. It is clear genocidal Nazism. The main thesis of Putin is that Ukrainian is not a real nation and should be eliminated.
If you think that there is some ultra nationalist problem in Ukraine then you are clearly fallen into Russian propaganda trap.
