I have long thought of making a software tool for interactive C4 diagrams [0], but just a few weeks ago a colleague has discovered IcePanel [1], which is exactly that.
PowerPoint is a drawing/layout app, not a diagramming app, and if you create a chart with three load balanced nodes and want to change it to four you are in for 15 minutes of work.
probably not what you're after -- there are some pretty cool maps of network infrastructure. think less "high level cartoon of logical architecture of web-app playing bingo with managed cloud services" and more "telecommunication network cables and equipment superimposed on geographical map of the area being served"
There was a company I saw a few years ago integrating isometric systems architecture diagrams with real-time health status.
