Please be careful here. Many people on this forum are citizens of countries that are intentionally not taking direct action in this war. Remember - as a citizen of a country, you represent your country on the international stage. Diplomatic relations between countries is serious, important business involving massive forces (often far more important than the lives or freedoms of an individual) - many lives have been ruined because they underestimated how their actions on foreign soil would be perceived/received differently due to their nationality.
I don't know specifically what risks are involved here - if there is anyone with deeper expertise on the topic, it would be great for them to chime in. If there is anyone with contacts in the State Department, it would be great to hear their stance on it.
Be very thoughtful about getting directly involved in foreign wars that your country does not want to be involved in.
Meanwhile all sorts of countries NATO and not are sending in equipped foot soldiers. IT people should have backbones too from behind their cushy monitors
