If that's the case, can someone explain why they're using water-based suppression systems?


From past HN threads, but otherwise knowing nothing, my impression is they probably think it will keep the temperature down, relatively speaking, which mitigates things?

Earlier in the article, it says "the facility’s fire suppression system was activated and had successfully cooled the batteries when his team arrived on the scene "to the point that there wasn't any flame or fire."
