If you listen to joe rogans explanation, every single one of those uses of the word was taken out of context. He wasn’t using it in a racist manner, he was talking about someone’s use of the word. Even the Planet of the Apes reference was taken out of context. After he uses the term Planet of the Apes in the podcast, he immediately realized that it sounded racist and apologized because that wasn’t what he meant.
