Racist survey on StackOverflow is not for discussion (stackoverflow.com)

I just realized SO was sold to some random investment fund in June and the corporate speak is now on Meta and Blog. I used to love theirs startup culture. I wish it was sold to a tech giant instead. Tech giants may have their problems but at least the are not speaking this way and I can relate to what they are doing.

What happens when (not if) the big investment fund dumbs-down all the forums? Can we delete our accounts? Do all the answers go away?

The new lead is not talking this language instead they talk about tremendous excitement, massive scale, global opportunities, rapid expansion, next phase of growth and strategic priorities.

I have enough rep on SO to see the close comment, but many people probably are not able to see this. Not sure what to do about it, copying it here may be not OK and discussing something that seems hidden is awkward.

I basically was just offended by the wording of the close comment, it was like shut up we know better, comments are not for the discussion. Maybe I'm just reading it wrong.

Aren't all SO contributions CC-BY-SA? I doubt the original author even cares that much.

What close comment? You don’t mean the deleted answer, do you?

Yes I meant the deleted and downvoted answer, it was obviously written by the person who have closed the topic. Sorry for the mistake.

What are you talking about? The question is still nominally open (even if comments are disabled), and that person is not even a moderator.
