Calorie counting or IF works better for me (I've done both). Let's me eat anything I want, just less of it.



I have the opposite experience.

Eating high carb / junk food triggers cravings and overeating.

Eating protein, greens, etc... Makes eating the correct amount of calories much easier, as I actually feel full.

That said, my sister has the same experience as you. She can lose weight eating Pizza, as long as it's the correct amount of Pizza.


I lost weight eating cake, absolutely delicious, I always felt full, and had plenty of energy. High protein diets made me feel miserable.


Yep, if you rely on exploiting your physiology and eating totally different foods to lose weight and maintain then it's going to be a struggle if you ever want to go back to normal.
