As much as I'd like to believe that the Microsoft of 2 decades ago is dead, I can't help but feel like this is a clear example of the "embrace" part of EEE.
I agree and that’s not only about MS but any large company who needs growth swallows whatever it can. I will never trust Microsoft again but I’m part of an old generation who witnessed what they did decades ago. The young generation does not have any memory of that and are ecstatic about what MS does. They will learn when the extinguish phase becomes active. But after years and years another generation will become gullible again, of course if MS survives for that long.
