It seems strange to call this a list of intellectuals and then using meme-ness as a key scoring mechanism. This type of thing makes me worry about the intellectual narrowness of the rationalist and adjacent communities.

Given certain names on there, the easiest way to become an intellectual seems to be 1) Be famous, 2) Be outspoken 3) have a cult like following.
