Just FYI talking about Kanban board is a bit like talking about IT technologies (where the T stands for technology). I can't remember the word for it.

In Japanese Kanban means : signboard; sign; billboard; hoarding; doorplate



It's a bilingual tautological name and very common in place naming [1]. And nothing is wrong about that because only one word out of them would make sense to monolingual speakers.

RAS syndrome, which itself and "IT technologies" are an example, only concerns about a single word in both abbreviated and unabbreviated forms.
