If they have the money to buy EA, the world would be better served with them investing the billions in creating a competing game studio. I know it's easier than ever for an indie studio to get started in creating games, but it feels like every major franchise has been pulled into one of the "big studios" (or I guess at this point distributors) resulting in stagnation.
I am honestly against this, and feel like it needs to be stopped. If Facebook cannot come to China and just buy some startup there, then Tencent shouldn't be allowed to do the same in the western world.
