My guess that the real story is that someone from above told HR department about salary raises but changed their mind after mass mail was sent. So they needed some excuse and came with this lame shit.
I was replying to greencore's theory that Godaddy sent the email and then changed their mind, and is using the phish test as a cover. If that had been the case, then the email would have been sent from godaddy.com not gocladdy.com
Not to be a total jerk, but has anyone told you that you have paranoid thoughts? This is obviously not the case. I am genuinely curious what might lead one to even be suspicious of this.
