I currently get 60 FPS on my quite old Hackintosh in most places, but when you pack in a lot of spell effects from many tens of players at the same time, performance starts to drop fast. Especially now with the pre-expansion event and the world bosses.

I'd be curious too. I don't play WoW anymore so I won't be investing time to test.

It's important to note that I tested WoW on my MBP 15" 2018 max spec and the game ran ~25fps (Same zone, same character, doing quests) on lower graphics, and my MBP fans were spinning like a freaking jet engine.
