I keep waiting for each new generation to offer more RAM than my 2015 MBP which has 16GB and is still going strong. How else can I run a bunch of docker containers?

But every new release is the same or worse for memory. Is there something about these new architectures that I'm missing which should negate my desire?

Why can't I get a machine with 32GB RAM for under $3k or whatever they are now?
