To provide more color to the parent comment, the scope of React vs the scope of Unity is several orders of magnitude different. (In fact, I've seen games that use React inside to manage their UI layers.)

Again, I'm talking about the engineering culture fostered by the two projects. I'm not literally comparing a game engine to a web rendering library.

Not comparing Unity to React. Comparing Unity's culture, management and engineering to the ones of React.
