I had an iPhone for work and it basically solidified the fact that Apple products are low quality. I didn't see any benefits at all. Only annoyances. I don't actually believe your story the way you told it. Was her Android a 50 dollar piece of Chinese junk or Samsung? Only way I could believe it.

It was a mid-range Samsung probably a year old. The problem wasn’t really the hardware but the fact that it was full of malware and crap apps, which is what you’d expect with a non-technical user. iOS mostly avoids that problem thanks to sandboxing.
